“Make yourself an ark of gofer wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it with pitch inside and outside” Genesis 6:14
God foresaw the coming flood and warned mankind about it but they were too blind to see and believe God. Finally, 500 years old Noah responded to God and built the ark which became a safe place for himself and his family when the flood came. The flood is a typology of condemnation and judgment of sin. The ark is a typology of the salvation and redemption God has made available for us in Jesus Christ. He that believes in Him is free from condemnation.
